Overview

JOB PROFILE:

Reports to the Zonal Manager. He/she is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business relationships for the bank within the zone.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To originate new business opportunities that deliver the approved annual portfolio growth target for the Zone.
• To achieve the approved annual disbursement target in line with sector allocation priorities.
• To generate a minimum agreed number of bankable credit proposals per quarter that meet internal appraisal standards.
• To maintain portfolio quality within the bank’s approved NPL threshold for assigned accounts.
• To ensure all credit submissions are complete, accurate, and compliant, with minimal queries or rework from Credit and Risk units.
• To maintain an active and documented pipeline of prospective deals with clear status tracking and timelines.
• To conduct structured market and sector analysis and submit at least one market intelligence brief per quarter.
• To cross-sell additional bank products to existing clients in order to increase revenue per client and deepen wallet share.
• To negotiate facilities within approved pricing frameworks to maintain the minimum portfolio yield approved for the Zone.
• To conduct regular client visits and monitoring reviews covering all assigned accounts within the prescribed review cycle.
• To ensure timely identification and escalation of early warning signals in the portfolio.
• To maintain complete and up-to-date credit and monitoring documentation for all assigned clients.
• To build and formalize strategic relationships with corporate, institutional, and government stakeholders that generate measurable business leads annually.
• To contribute to the preparation and execution of the zonal business plan and budget within approved financial limits.
• To submit monthly and quarterly performance reports within agreed.
• To perform any other performance-aligned duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• University Graduate in Economics, Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking, or related discipline.
• Three (3) years of experience.
• Ability to identify business areas where the bank can be more effective and propose plans to implement these changes.
• Analytical Skills: Experience in interpreting financial information/statements.
• Ability to evaluate credit application proposals.
• Industry knowledge: Candid knowledge of products in industry and the business opportunities that underline these areas.
• Sales Skills.
