Overview
JOB PROFILE:
Reporting To: Manager Business Operations
To support the availability, stability, security, and effective use of enterprise systems, the Core Banking System, and ICT infrastructure by providing operational support, system administration, monitoring, incident resolution, and user assistance in line with Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) business objectives and regulatory requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide first- and second-level support for the Core Banking System and related enterprise applications.
- Monitor daily system operations, batch jobs, end-of-day/end-of-period processes, and system interfaces to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Support user access management for enterprise systems and core banking in line with approved access control procedures.
- Assist in system configuration, parameter setup, and maintenance of core banking and supporting applications.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, releases, and testing activities for enterprise systems and core banking platforms.
- Support data integrity, backups, reconciliations, and basic reporting from the Core Banking System.
- Investigate and resolve system incidents and service requests, escalating complex issues to vendors or senior ICT staff when required.
- Maintain system documentation including configurations, operational procedures, incident logs, and user guides.
- Liaise with ICT vendors and service providers in resolving technical issues and supporting service delivery, system stability and performance.
- Support implementation of system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in line with approved procedures.
- Assist in ICT security operations by enforcing access controls, password policies, and endpoint protection standards.
- Maintain accurate ICT documentation including asset registers, system configurations, incident logs, and user guides.
- Support ICT-related projects, rollouts, and system enhancements as assigned.
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by immediate Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, Linux, Database, or Security-related) will be an added advantage.
- At least 2–3 years relevant experience in ICT operations, systems support, or service desk functions.
- Experience working in a banking or financial institution environment will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ICT security fundamentals, including access control, backups, and endpoint protection.
- Familiarity with ICT service management principles and procedures.
